The has launched its newest educational program with the goal of supporting all lung health professionals. "Advancing In Lung Health" is an on-line, interactive educational portal dedicated to improving patient outcomes by helping healthcare professionals promote lung health. Our latest program, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), developed by Dr. Charles Chan and Dr. Mark Greenwald, is now available at www.AdvancingIn.com. The program's learning objectives include:
- Evaluate the significance of preventing exacerbations in COPD and its’ impact on the progression of COPD and patient quality of life (QOL)
- Increase the awareness of the benefits of early intervention in the course of COPD
- Review the latest evidence in COPD management, including the new Canadian Thoracic Society (CTS) recommendations
- Identify interventions appropriate for various stages of COPD using the Canadian Thoracic Society (CTS) criteria
