It provides updates on current Canadian asthma research, information on new treatments, information on asthma triggers and how to avoid them, and seasonal tips and reminders. The Asthma Society of Canada has developed a series of booklets that provide Canadians with a stepwise approach to asthma management in a simple-to-understand format. The booklets are intended for individuals who have asthma.

Discusses the diagnosis and testing, and answers common questions about asthma. It includes a checklist of questions the patient may wish to discuss with their doctor.

Discusses allergies, the allergic and non-allergic triggers and steps that can be taken to improve asthma control. It includes a checklist to use when planning changes to the home environment and a sample symptom journal/diary.

about asthma and the Asthma Society of Canada's free service
These resources were developed as part of the Asthma Basics 123: Action Kit for Canadian Schools pilot program. These tools are designed to help teachers identify children with early warning signs of poor asthma control and communicate effectively with parents of children with asthma.
