Make Asthma Yours To Control

Asthma Control is in your hands: for the most part, control of your asthma rests with you. You are the one managing it on a day-to-day basis. To find out more check the Patient Responsibilities section of the Asthma Patient Bill of Rights.

You Can Control Your Asthma!

The Asthma Society of Canada and the National Asthma Patient Alliance are undertaking a series of important activities, delivering a very simple message: You Can Control Your Asthma. Help us spread the word, send letters or meet with officials, and let us know by emailing us: info@asthma.ca
Advocacy Activities

We need your help to spread our message to politicians at the provincial level. There are two sample letters available: one to your Provincial Minister of Health (click here), and the second to your local Provincial Member of Parliament (click here). Please take a moment to send these letters (including your personal story about asthma) to the appropriate decision-makers in your area.

Contact information for all provincial members can be found here.
Did you know?...

According to national research studies, asthma is not well controlled in 60% of people with asthma. What is the explanation for this lack of control? Perhaps there are some common misconceptions.
